Baunei - Selvaggio Blu
The territory of Baunei and the coastal Supramonte is a unique and primordial ecosystem. The Selvaggio Blu trail is widely considered one of the most challenging and spectacular treks in Europe, winding between dizzying cliffs sheer above the sea and impenetrable Mediterranean scrub. The landscape is austere, dominated by stark white limestone and turquoise waters—a vast, wild labyrinth perfect for adventurous hiking, solitary climbing routes, and abseiling down to secret beaches like Cala Goloritzé or Cala Mariolu. There are over 40 dedicated hiking itineraries within the Supramonte di Baunei region of Sardinia. Among these routes—many of which are previously unpublished—are two major treks, including the famous Selvaggio Blu in its original version conceived by Cicalò and Verin in 1988.
